Collection: The Eucalyptus Library

Eucalyptus is one genus of more than seven hundred species, and the oils distilled from them are not variations on a theme. They divide by chemistry, by plant part, by the country and altitude in which they grow. A 1,8-cineole eucalyptus and a citronellal eucalyptus share a name and little else.

This collection holds six single eucalyptus oils, across four distinct chemistries — the cineole register of Globulus, Radiata and Smithii; the lemon-scented Citriodora and Staigeriana; and the peppermint-type Dives. Each is selected at source, the result of more than thirty years of direct relationships with the growers behind them.

Beyond these six, a further reserve is held at the distillery and drawn to order: Globulus extra (wild, Ethiopia), Camaldulensis, Polybractea Cineol, Polybractea Krypton, Macarthurii and Kochii — rarer chemotypes and single origins kept in the grower library rather than on the shelf.
