Summer Meadow

The allergens declared on this blend, linalool, geraniol, limonene and citral, are not additives. They are constituents of the essential oils themselves, and European labelling rules require them to be named above a set threshold. The same molecules occur in lavender, rose, citrus and herbs, and any blend composed from those oils will list them.

01 · Composition

A fragrance blend composed in Germany from pure essential oils. Clary sage, helichrysum and bergamot mint lead the listed components, with a hay note among the further materials that gives the blend its meadow character.

02 · Chemistry

Clary sage and bergamot mint both bring linalool and linalyl acetate, the soft ester-and-alcohol core of the blend. Helichrysum adds neryl acetate and a dry, honeyed depth. Citral and geraniol, declared on the label, indicate a lemon-floral strand from further components.

03 · In Practice

Earthy and floral, green-herbal over a warm dry base, after a meadow in high summer. Composed for diffusion, or a few drops on a tissue for direct inhalation away from home. Combines, as a base, with lavender, rose geranium, bergamot and Roman chamomile.
