How To Use Essential Oils
USER GUIDE: ESSENTIAL OILS AND BLENDS
The most simple way to use essential oil is to use it as a fragrance. To help the oil evaporate you can use Oshadhi diffuser, Oshadhi Scent stones or just through a tissue paper. Through inhalation the oils can unfold its fragrance in a beautiful and pure way.
Further, the oil can be diluted into carrier oils to applied on the skin. For the right dilution please consult experts or refer to relevant resources.
In other countries essential oils are also known for their beneficial effect in Aromatherapy or as Aroma in food.
GENERAL STEPS TO USE ESSENTIAL OILS
Understand the Purpose: Synergy blends are typically formulated for specific purposes such as relaxation, energy, focus, or immune support. Make sure you understand the intended purpose of the blend you're using.
Dilution: Essential oils are highly concentrated and should be diluted before application to the skin. The typical dilution ratio for adults is around 2-3% (which translates to about 12-18 drops of essential oil per ounce of carrier oil). A lower dilution is recommended for children, the elderly, or those with sensitive skin.
Choose a Carrier Oil: Carrier oils such as coconut, sweet almond, or jojoba oil are commonly used to dilute essential oils for topical application. Choose one that suits your skin type and preferences.
Mixing: Add the appropriate number of drops of the synergy blend to your chosen carrier oil and mix well. You can also blend multiple synergy blends or essential oils to create a custom blend tailored to your needs.
Patch Test: Before using the blend extensively, perform a patch test on a small area of your skin to check for adverse reactions or sensitivities.
APPLICATION METHODS
Topical Application: Apply the diluted blend to the desired skin area. Common areas include wrists, temples, chest, or the bottoms of feet. Massage gently for absorption.
Inhalation: Add a few drops of the blend to a diffuser or inhale directly from the bottle for aromatherapy benefits. Add a drop or two to a tissue or cotton ball and inhale as needed.
Bath: Add a few drops of the blend to a warm bath for a relaxing or invigorating soak.
OBSERVATION AND ADJUSTMENT
Pay attention to how your body responds to the blend. If you experience any discomfort or adverse effects, discontinue use and consult a healthcare professional. Based on your sensitivity, you may also need to adjust the dilution ratio or frequency of use.
Storage: Store your synergy blend in a cool, dark place away from direct sunlight and heat to preserve its potency.
Remember that essential oils are potent substances and should be used with care. It's always a good idea to consult a qualified aromatherapist or healthcare professional, especially if you have any underlying health conditions or concerns.
