Description:

Copal Santo (Mexican Frankincense) is a member of the Burseraceae family along with Frankincense, Myrrh, Elemi, and Palo Santo. The aroma is reminiscent of Frankincense but with an appealing freshness which includes a hint of almond. It is unmistakeably related to Frankincense but with an effect perhaps more similar to Palo Santo. The essential oil of this species has traditionally been used for its anti-inflammatory effects, and its chemistry would suggest support for the respiratory system. Also, one to try for meditation! Inhalation of the oil seems to go to the heart for most people, and it seems to have a protective quality.

General Information: Keep away from heat and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.

Mexican Frankincense | Copal Santo

The essential oil of Mexican Frankincense (Copal Santo) is truly magnificent. I’ve only ever experienced it before by burning the resin on charcoal disks, so diffusing the oil has been an entirely new and deeply enjoyable experience.
