Copaiba Balm

Copaiba Balm (Copaiba Balsam) is a traditional remedy from the South American rain forests. The resin is harvested from wild trees by tapping (similar to the way rubber trees are tapped). It is a remarkable oil known for its strong support for the neuromuscular system, and can also be used in respiratory blends. The oil is rich in beta-caryophyllene which is known to have anti-inflammatory effects.

If blending for fragrance its warm honeyed base note acts as a fixative for the lighter top notes. It is soothing, balancing and uplifting, and blends well with Rose, Jasmine, Ylang Ylang.
