Description: Araucaria essential oil is distilled from shavings of the heart wood. The oil is generally solid and waxy at room temperature so a small amount of alcohol is added to ensure good flow. The aroma is sweet and balsamic with a slight note of cinnamon spice. The chemistry of this oil and high content of sesquiterpene alcohols would suggest anti-inflammatory, anti-spasmodic and sedative effects. This oil has a high content of Eudesmol in different forms which have been shown in studies to have anti-tumour activity however it also means that this oil is contraindicated in all stages of pregnancy.

General Information: Keep away from heat and sunlight. Keep out of reach of children. Avoid contact with eyes and mucous membranes.
