🌿💦In the past, I have satisfactorily used a previous blend of yours called Bug Stop Spray. Tho it was not actually in a spray delivery form~ it, too, was in a cobalt blue glass bottle. A shorter bottle than the 0.34 fl. oz this new oil blend is in. Unfortunately, the older bottle’s paper label (new labels are easy to read, conveniently peel back to reveal more information even allowing you to see what remains in the bottle) is not completely intact so I can only read the first three ingredients: lavender, eucalyptus & clove. It’s fragrance is more complex in make up, decidedly more earthy and spice driven. Buzz Off leans more on a lite, fresh, citronella, citrus, mint side with eucalyptus and grounding juniper in the melange. While both are from your “Synergy” line and the first ingredient is lavender~ lavender it is not the top note in either. More likely a soothing anchor and meaningful contribution for the skins sake. It is easier to say what lavender is not ideal for~ rather than its generally well known, historically long, list of benefits. I have not yet used it as the need is not (thankfully) present~ with fluctuating weather, a cooler and elongated Spring this year in the North East. So I am sharing a comparison via refreshing whiffs from the opened bottle tops. I am glad something similar is still available. Certainly, I could take what remains from my old bottle and add it to this newer blend~ or add clove to this bottle as my nose divines. I have a rather extensive collection of your oils. I will give this its earnest due trial when mosquitoes hum again and be led by its success. In any event, to have this behind my ears-about the neck and any exposed places, in addition to my own spray mist (always in a glass bottle with essential oils!) to spritz hair, even clothes is a comfort as well as a celebration of nature on multiple levels. I shall assume a company of your remarkable criteria has upgraded this product for the greater good. I have trusted your line’s voracity from an ethical standpoint for decades. Respect for people, nature, the precious land that supports our well being, in ways we cannot fully comprehend, and the blessings individual plants impart~ from harvest to extraction is admirable. The pride is evident on your bottles. I will not purchase any essential oils that do not talk about origin, and plastic is verboten! Essential oils eat through it and I don’t knowingly put plastic on my skin. Our largest organ shouldn’t be taking that into our bloodstream. May you & yours be well & happy wearing & using these truly essential oils~ and may your company continue to go about things in the way your mindful founder intends~ for all future generations to have available.
